Materials – All of our materials have been personally selected for their environmentally responsible qualities. The sources are sustainably harvested, responsibly harvested, recyclable or rapidly renewable.
Eco-Board – Eco-board is a durable, flexible composite made using in-process recycled materials.
Poplar – Poplar is an economical and renewable resource for wooden shutters. Like our other materials, the poplar we use is responsibly harvested. It has excellent staining qualities so we can match most colors and stains.
Bamboo – Bamboo is the most environmentally friendly wood product on earth and the fastest growing. It has been measured growing as much as 39 inches in a 24 hour period. Bamboo can be sustainably harvested every 5-7 years.
Basswood – Basswood is a great option for shutters due to its beautiful grain which is straight and fine with a uniform texture. It is resistant to warping, and has excellent staining qualities. Basswood is a renewable resource and responsible forest management in the United States ensures a balance between wood growth and wood removal.
